SEVEN BENGALS NAMED TO ALL-LCCAC/REGION 23 TEAM
WESTWEGO, La. – Fresh off a second straight conference championship, LSU Eunice placed a league-best seven players on the 2026 All-LCCAC/Region 23 Team, headlined by Aidan Mouton earning the Louis “Rags” Scheuermann MVP honors.
Joining Mouton on the squad are Andrew Clapinski, Marshall Louque, Mason Bordelon, Milan Obradovich, Lane Fenske, and McCray Jacobs.
Mouton capped another dominant season by hitting .461 with 82 runs scored and 37 stolen bases while playing multiple positions and even making appearances on the mound. The Rayne native finishes his LSUE career among the program’s all-time leaders in nearly every offensive category and is now a two-time All-LCCAC/Region 23 honoree.
Clapinski made an immediate impact in his first season in Eunice. The freshman catcher led the Bengals in hits (71), RBI (79), and doubles (18), highlighted by a three-home run game against Delgado in April.
Louque emerged as a key bat in the middle of the lineup, hitting .393 with double-digit home runs, 49 runs scored, and 42 RBI.
Bordelon enters postseason play as one of the region’s hottest hitters, batting .429 in conference action with 11 home runs in LCCAC play alone. He was recently named NJCAA National Player of the Week after a five-homer weekend against Delgado.
Obradovich continued to be one of LSUE’s most versatile pieces while ranking near the team lead in RBI (66) and doubles (15).
On the mound, Fenske has been the Bengals’ ace, leading the NJCAA with 13 wins while posting a 3.21 ERA and 77 strikeouts. He also threw four complete games this season, including a standout performance against Nunez on April 11, when he recorded a season-high 10 strikeouts.
Jacobs has been the go-to bullpen arm. With a 4-0 record, a 3.32 ERA, and 40 strikeouts to just six walks over 38 innings this season, he has been the ultimate reliever for the Bengals. He even impressed in a rare start, tossing seven innings with 10 strikeouts in a 12-2 win over BRCC on April 19.
