Press Release from LSUE Bengals Athletics
EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice Baseball took care of business in its final midweek game of the 2025 regular season, defeating Bosier Parish CC 8-5 on Wednesday at Bengal Stadium. LSUE (47-2 overall record, 13-1 LCCAC) improved to 9-0 this season in midweek contests.
The two sides would feel each other out early, both striking for a pair of early runs. LSUE used two-out RBI singles from Cash Riley III and Aidan Mouton to take a second inning lead before Bossier Parish tied it an inning later. Milan Obradovich kept the two-out theme going in the bottom half of the third, unloading the bases on a double to left center to give the Bengals the lead for good.
Will Mabry IV extended the LSUE advantage to 6-2 an inning later with a single up the middle that would score Riley.
Mabry, Mouton, Riley, and Obradovich each had multi-hit games to lead LSUE in its 10-hit night.
The Bengals weren’t in the clear just yet after the Cavaliers knocked a three-run home run in the fifth inning to trim the LSUE lead to 6-5. Mouton was back to work an inning later, bringing home Riley before Jackson Legg scored Mouton on a RBI single up the middle of the field.
That three-run lead was secure with the bullpen quartet of Peyton Beck, McCray Jacobs, Reese Ashworth, and Mouton. Beck earned the win after tossing 1.2 innings of no-hit relief while Jacobs bridged to the power tandem of Ashworth and Mouton. The duo hurled scoreless inning in the eighth and ninth with Mouton picking up his third save of the season.
Caden Tarango received the no decision after throwing under the minimum of five innings. He would strike out eight batters to led the LSUE pitching staff who combined for 13 punchouts on the night.
The Bengals close out the regular season this weekend with a home series against Delgado CC. A Saturday doubleheader will kick things off starting at 3:00PM from Bengal Stadium. LSUE can clinch the LCCAC regular season championship with a win this weekend.
