LSU’s season may have come to an end a little more than a week ago, but the accolades keep rolling in with Daniel Cabrera receiving Freshman All-America honors on Monday from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
The Baton Rouge product batted .315 this season with 18 doubles, two triples, and eight home runs. This is his second Freshman All-America honor, being named to the Collegiate Baseball magazine’s All-America squad last week.
