Will Campbell is now a New England Patriot.
The three-year starter for the LSU Tigers was selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft on Thursday night, just the second LSU offensive lineman drafted in the Top 5 since 1998, joining Alan Faneca.
Campbell had an impressive career at LSU, starting in 38 games for the Tigers. The 2024 Consensus All-American was viewed by many NFL scouts to be the best offensive lineman in the class, but was still an unfinished product.
The Monroe, LA native only allowed five sacks in three seasons at LSU and was a two-time member of the All-SEC team.
In 2023, Brian Kelly presented Campbell wth the No. 7 jersey, the biggest honor in LSU Football. The jersey goes to a Louisiana native who represents what it means to play for LSU. Since linemen can’t wear single-digit jerseys, Campbell remained in 66 but had a #7 patch on his jersey for his final two seasons.
Campbell will now look for his game to transfer to the NFL, playing for a historic franchise in the Patriots under head coach Mike Vrabel. The Patriots drafted Drake Maye in 2024 and have now added to their offensive line to protect their young quarterback going forward.
