One of the key cogs for LSU’s prolific offense received the biggest honor that an assistant coach could receive on Tuesday.
Passing game coordinator Joe Brady was announced on Tuesday as the winner of the Broyles Award. The award honors the best member of a coaching staff, excluding head coaches, in all of college football.
Prior to Brady’s arrival to LSU, he spent time working under head coach Sean Payton and the prolific offense that the New Orleans Saints have had in recent seasons. His knowledge of working with a big NFL franchise translated into one of the best offenses in the history of LSU with several records falling in the progress. It has also helped Joe Burrow be named as a Heisman Trophy finalist on Monday.
LSU will play the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, December 28th in the College Football Playoff with kickoff set for 3 pm.
