LSU’s Most Indispensable Players in 2017

With Arden Key currently making his way back from shoulder surgery, LSU football is already adept at discovering what life is like minus a dominant difference maker.

But, given the talent ready to be unleashed behind Key on the depth chart, is he one of the Tigers’ most indispensable players?

Convincing arguments could be made on both sides. On one hand Key has top-three talent in the upcoming NFL Draft and might be the nation’s most devastating pass rusher. On the other hand, as mentioned, play-makers lurk as outside linebackers.

With that in mind, here are my top five most indispensable LSU players for this season.

  1. RB Derrius Guice
  2. QB Danny Etling
  3. OT K.J. Malone
  4. ILB Devin White
  5. WR D.J. Chark

Listen below for my rationalization, as well as my interview with Shea Dixon of 247Sports in which he discuss the influx of immediate impact true freshmen … and why.
