The accolades keep on rolling in for the LSU as a pair of Tigers were named to the SEC All-Freshman Team on Thursday.
Cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. and kicker Cade York were both named to the team that is voted on by the SEC’s head coaches.
Stingley, a Baton Rouge native, racked up a total of 34 tackles and six interceptions on the season. Earlier this season, he was also named SEC Freshman of the Week after his stellar performance against the Flordia Gators.
York has had a great 2019 season, going 21-of-25 on the season on field goals including a pair of 50-yard field goals in the regular-season finale against Texas A&M.
The LSU Tigers will play the Oklahoma Sooners on December 28th in the College Football Playoff Semifinal in Atlanta, Georgia with kickoff set for 3 pm.
