A key piece to LSU’s defense in 2025 will return for one more run.
On New Year’s Day, Tiger linebacker Whit Weeks announced via his Instagram page that he will skip this year’s upcoming NFL Draft to play one more season in a purple and gold uniform in 2026.
“College is too much fun to leave, and there is no better place in the country to be right now than Baton Rouge, Louisiana. All I want to do is ball in the purple and gold. See you in September,” said Weeks on his social media post on Thursday,
This past fall, Weeks’ season was derailed due to an ankle injury that held him out of seven games, including the Kinder’s Texas Bowl. In the six games in which he recorded a stat, Weeks concluded the season with 28 tackles (13 solo), one sack, and a fumble recovery.
