Lundi Love: KK’s Cafe

Posted by Tanya Ardoin on August 24, 2020 in Blogs, Featured

A coworker told me about a cafe in Youngsville that serves up fluffy melt-in-your-mouth pancakes so Sunday morning after my run, I knew where we were headed for brunch.

KK’s Cafe serves breakfast all day long, plus every Sunday they offer barbecue lunches. It is a cute little cafe located across the way from the Youngsville Sports Complex. Every employee is cheery and helpful. The restaurant was clean and felt new.

We ordered coffee and decided to go with barbecued chicken and pulled pork. My mom ordered the classic breakfast platter, which included grits, eggs, bacon, and pancakes. The barbecue was fresh, tangy, and served with huge scoops of rice dressing, beans, and potatoes salad. Plus it came with a little tasty buttery roll. This roll was also homemade and not a pre-packaged roll. I also ordered a stack of pancakes. I just finished an intense 5 mile run in the blistering sun so needless to say, I was a little hungry.

The portions were huge and we had to bring the rest home along with a slice of the turtle cheesecake. We had a lovely midmorning meal and I definitely recommend checking this place out. I can’t wait to go back and try the burgers!

For this reason, Mustang 1071 is showing a little love on a Monday to KK’s Cafe in Youngsville.
