The McNeese Cowboys have announced their 2026 football schedule.
The announcement came on Tuesday, and it happened after the Southland Conference finalized the dates for league games in the upcoming season.
McNeese’s schedule is highlighted by a trip to Baton Rouge to play LSU along with four FCS Playoff teams from the 2025 season.
The Cowboys start the season with three straight home games, including a Week 0 SLC matchup against Stephen F. Austin.
The trip to LSU comes on October 3rd, right before the mid-point of the season.
After spending much of the first half at home, McNeese plays four of their final six on the road, including a November 14th trip to Hammond to face the Southeastern Lions.
