For the first time since 2018, the McNeese Cowboys are ranked in the FCS Top 25.
McNeese was ranked 22nd in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25, which was released on Monday. They were also ranked 24th in the AFCA Coaches Poll.
The Cowboys are off to a hot start in the 2024 season, winners of their last three to bring their record to 4-2 on the season. Their next contest is Saturday in Houston against Houston Christian.
Fellow Southland Conference Members UIW (15) and Lamar (24) are also in the polls this week.
