Former LSU Tiger Annesah Morrow was selected seventh overall by the Connecticut Sun in the First Round of Monday night’s 2025 WNBA Draft in Manhattan, New York. She is set to play for first-year head coach Rachid Meziane to begin her professional career.
A Chicago, Illinois native, Morrow began her collegiate career in her hometown at DePaul University. During her time with the Blue Demons, she started all 66 games in two seasons and averaged more than 20 points per game in each year as well. In addition to her scoring, Morrow set the single-season rebounding record at DePaul.
After two seasons, Morrow entered the transfer portal and committed to LSU to play for coach Kim Mulkey. She instantly became a go-to scorer for the Tigers.
In two seasons with LSU, Morrow earned First-Team All-SEC honors both times. Additionally, she earned All-America honors in all four of her collegiate seasons. She averaged over 18 points per game in her final season, helping LSU to an Elite 8 run.
Morrow finished her decorated collegiate career by becoming one of just eight players in D-I history with more than 2500 points and 1500 rebounds. Additionally, she finished second all-time in career double-doubles.
The Sun finished 28-12 during the 2024 season, good for second best in the WNBA’s Eastern Conference.
