The LSU Tigers received some bad news ahead of the start of fall camp with Myles Brennan suffering an injury to his left arm that will require surgery.
“Myles Brennan suffered a severe injury that will require surgery,” LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said in a statement released by the university. “His timeline is yet to be determined. Myles has done everything we have asked of him this summer and was in the fight to be the starting quarterback at LSU.”
Brody Miller of The Athletic is reporting that he broke his left humerus bone in a freak accident while training.
Brennan had started the first three games of LSU’s season last year, passing for 1,112 and 11 touchdowns before his season came to an abrupt end after an injury he suffered sidelined him during the contest against Missouri.
It was expected to be a heated competition between Brennan and Max Johnson throughout training camp.
