The New Orleans Pelicans are officially eliminated from playoff contention after their 122-113 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.

There was still a path for New Orleans to make the postseason despite their loss to the Spurs, but they were eliminated after the Portland Trailblazers defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 124-121.

J.J. Redick scored a team-high 31 points off the bench for the Pelicans in the loss. No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson recorded 25 points and seven rebounds. Brandon Ingram scored 17 points in 33 minutes.

The Spurs held a 17-point lead going into halftime. New Orleans cut the deficit down to three points and trailed 105-102 with three minutes left in the game. San Antonio proceeded to go on a 20-8 run to end the game.

New Orleans is now 30-40 for the season. They are currently 12th in the Western Conference standings.

The Sacramento Kings have also been eliminated from the playoffs. The Pelicans and Kings will play on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
