The New Orleans Saints know that the proverbial clock is ticking when it comes to finding an heir to the throne for Drew Brees and may have pushed all the chips in for a former Minnesota Viking in Teddy Bridgewater.
The Saints traded away a third-round pick in the 2019 draft to the New York Jets for Bridgewater and a sixth-round pick as reported by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
The former Louisville Cardinal has had a solid preseason, going 28-of-38 for 316 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception through three games. With the recent acquisition, the question now is which quarterback will get cut later this week when the Saints have to trim the roster down to 53.
