LSU women’s basketball head coach Nikki Fargas stepped down from her position this week, according to The Advocate.

Fargas spent 10 seasons as the head coach for the LSU Lady Tigers. She went 176-128 overall and 81-77 in Southeastern Conference play during her time.

Fargas will pursue a career outside of coaching, according to multiple reports.

LSU made two appearances in the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16 and missed the tournament four times in 10 seasons.

The Tigers went 9-13 overall in the 2020-21 season. The team won its first game of the SEC tournament over Mississippi State before losing 77-58 to Texas A&M in the quarterfinals.
