Garrett Nussmeier, Chris Hilton Jr, and Whit Weeks will be the trio of LSU Tigers’ football players that represent the team at SEC Football Media Days in Atlanta next week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
SEC Media Days are the annual event that kick off the upcoming football season. In recent years, the conference has moved the event around to different destinations such as Nashville and Dallas. This year, they take place at the Omni in Atlanta and also coincide with the MLB All-Star Game for the second straight year.
Nussmeier is coming off his first full season as a starter. The now senior quarterback put up 4,052 passing yards with 29 touchdowns a year ago. He enters as one of the more highly regarded signal-callers in the country.
Hilton Jr is a senior that is looking for a breakout season in 2025. He missed much of last year with injury, but did return later on. Overall, he had 243 receiving yards with three touchdowns on the season. He is expected to be one of the fastest players in the nation this season.
Weeks looks to return to form as one of the top linebackers in college football. He had an incredible sophomore season, although it was cut short in the bowl game due to injury. He is expected to be ready to start the season, and returns as a First-Team All-SEC selection.
The LSU Tigers begin the 2025 season on Saturday, August 30th against the Clemson Tigers. You can listen to their games on ESPN 103.7 Lafayette 104.1 Lake Charles.
