BJ Ojulari became the first LSU player taken in this year’s NFL Draft.
The 6-foot-3, 250-pound outside linebacker-defensive end was selected with the No. 41 overall pick by the Arizona Cardinals on Friday night.
In his career with LSU, Ojulari appeared in 34 games (24 starts) while recording 129 tackles, 25 tackles for loss and 16.5 sacks.
Ojulari appeared in 11 games last season and finsihed with 58 tackles and ranked second on team in tackles for loss (8.5), sacks (5.5), and quarterback hurries (13). That earned him All-Southeastern Conference First Team honors.
Ojulari was also named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week three times in his career — once each season from 2020-22.
Ojulari was the only Tiger star to be selected in the NFL Draft on Friday.
Wide receiver Kayshon Boutte, offensive guard Anthony Bradford, cornerback Mekhi Garner and a slew of others are LSU stars that are expected to be drafted in Rounds 4 through 7 on Saturday.
