With all the negativity in the news right now, I feel like it’s time to have a little positivity in our lives.
I have been a big fan of American Ninja Warrior ever since I saw the Japanese version of the show (which is called Sasuke) on G4. The stories of some of these participants are amazing. From people who have everyday jobs to people that fell on hard times and the TV series motivated them to get back on track in their lives, it’s fantastic to see them compete on these giant obstacle courses (I get winded just watching them complete the course).
The video above is no different. Zach Gowen, who is also a professional wrestler in the independent circuit (he also had a brief stint in WWE in 2003), lost his leg to cancer when he was young. But he hasn’t allowed this to stop him from living life to the fullest. Prior to running the course, he removed his prosthetic leg and got a good bit of the way across the course. He may not have completed the course, but he showed that if you have the heart, the sky is the limit.
