The Carolina Panthers’ worst fears have been realized.
After an MRI scan, the Panthers will be without Kelvin Benjamin out for the entire season with a torn ACL.
The second-year wide receiver was carted off during practice Wednesday morning.
During the practice, Benjamin made a cut on a pass route and crumpled to the ground without anyone touching him, immediately grabbing his knee.
Benjamin had a fantastic rookie season getting 1,008 yards and nine touchdowns off of 73 catches last season. The Panthers will now need to figure out a good solution for this major loss for the Panthers on the receiver front.
