The New Orleans Pelicans have acquired an additional 2025 First-Round pick, the team announced on Tuesday.
In a trade with the Indiana Pacers, the Pelicans will receive the 23rd overall pick in this year’s draft in addition to the draft rights to Mojave King. In return, the Pelicans are sending Indiana back their 2026 First-Round pick, which New Orleans had previously acquired in a separate deal.
King is a player from New Zealand who was drafted in 2023 by the Los Angeles Lakers. He has been playing in the NBL in New Zealand, and the Pelicans now have the right to sign him.
The NBA Draft will take place on Wednesday, June 25th and Thursday, June 26th. The Pelicans currently hold the #7 and #23 picks in the first round.
