It was a very slow-paced ballgame, but considering the fact that the New Orleans Pelicans (42-30) are in the midst of a very rare back-to-back-to-back homestand it was nice to get the win on Wednesday night against the Indiana Pacers.
Key to Victory: Strong Finish
Both teams didn’t budge on Wednesday night with both teams staying around six points for the entire ballgame. The Pelicans were able to pull away in the final moments of the ballgame, scoring nine points in the final 1:24 of the ballgame, giving the Pelicans the edge in a 96-92 victory.

Player of the Game: E’Twaun Moore
E’Twaun Moore was able to dominate the floor offensively and keep the Pelicans in the ballgame throughout with 23 points and went 10-of-15 from the field. His three-point shooting was even better, going 75% from beyond the arc.
Big Number: 26
Even in the middle of a rare three-game in three nights scenario, the Pelicans were able to put up 26 fastbreak points in what was a relatively slow-paced ballgame. Having that kind of performance in a tightly-contested matchup is a step in the right direction.
Where They Stand
The Western Conference remains unchanged after the win on Wednesday night, but the Pelicans still have a chance to move into the fourth seed with a win on Thursday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Next Up: The Lake Show
The Pelicans will wrap up the homestand on Thursday when they take on the Los Angeles Lakers (31-39) with tipoff set for 7 pm.
