The Abbeville Wildcats are enjoying another successful season so far.
They are currently 4-2, including an impressive win over North Vermilion. They now turn to the district portion of their schedule, which has a mix of challenging, yet winnable games ahead. This team likes to run the football and play tough defense.
A big reason for their rushing ability is their talented offensive line. One of those players is right tackle Taylan Turner. He is the subject of today’s Prep Profile Q&A.
QUESTION: Coming into this season, what were your goals as a guy who’s been here before, right? What were the main things you were focusing on?

A: Personally, we have been successful with our run blocking. I’m trying to get better at just the basics like down blocking and zone blocking.
Q: You guys ran for 350 yards in one game (earlier in the season). What goes into that and do you take pride in that as an offensive line?
A: Oh yeah, sure we are. We are proud of ourselves. We are proud that we ran for 350 yards and put it all out there.
Q: What are you focused on right now?
A: The same thing. We want a lot of rushing yards and maybe we can get a few passes in as well.
Q: Who is a guy you like watching play in the NFL or College Football?
A: I like watching Lane Johnson (from the Eagles) and Brandon Scherff (from the Jaguars).
