With only a couple of weeks left until the regular season starts, the Associated Press released their Preseason Top 25 Poll on Sunday and the LSU Tigers are in the top five.
The Tigers SEC rival Alabama is on top with 33 first-place votes, with Clemson garnering the two spot with 16 first place votes. The Oklahoma Sooners get into the three spot and Florida State rounds out the top four. If this holds, then this would be your College Football Playoff.
But LSU is in the fifth spot and received one first place vote. The Tigers will open the season on September 3rd in Green Bay, Wisconsin against the Wisconsin Badgers in a nationally-televised matchup.
