Bob Marlin has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Louisiana Athletics Department announced Wednesday morning that the longtime Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns men’s basketball coach will not travel with the team to its Sun Belt Conference opener at Appalachian State on Thursday, or for the contest at Coastal Carolina on Saturday.
Ragin’ Cajuns assistant coach Brock Morris will serve as acting head coach for both games.
Louisiana enters Sun Belt Conference play with a 5-5 overall record but has not played a game since a 71-56 loss at Houston on Dec. 14. Louisiana was supposed to play Loyola on Dec. 20 but that game was canceled due to COVID-19 issues with Loyola.
