Robert Hunt will be taking two trips to Mobile.
The University of Louisiana senior offensive lineman has accepted an invitation to take part in the Reese’s Senior Bowl. The premiere college football all-star showcase, coached by NFL staffs, is held at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama — the home stadium of Sun Belt Conference rival the University of South Alabama.
UL takes on South Alabama in Mobile on Saturday, Nov. 16th.
Hunt tweeted out the announcement on Tuesday afternoon, “It’s a blessing thank you all for this opportunity!!! 5=1!!”
The 6-foot-5, 322-pound Hunt has helped anchor an offensive line that has paved the way for the nation’s third-best rushing attack (288 yards per game) and the nation’s 13th-highest total offense (491.1 yards per game).
Hunt was recently selected as a Mid-season Second Team All-American by Pro Football Focus, and earned All-Sun Belt Second Team honors in 2018.
After being red-shirted as a true freshman in 2015, Hunt became a starter at left guard in 2016, then started at both left guard and left tackle in 2017 before playing and starting all 14 games in 2018.
Hunt becomes the first Ragin’ Cajun player invited to the Reese’s Senior Bowl since Tracy Walker received an invite following his senior season in 2017. Walker is currently a starter for the Detroit Lions.
