The University of Louisiana football team is headed to Dallas.
The No. 19-ranked Ragin’ Cajuns will taken on UTSA from Conference USA in the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 26, in Dallas, Texas. Kickoff is slated for 2:30 p.m. on ABC.
The postseason bowl appearance will be the 10th in program history and the third-straight under head coach Billy Napier. UL lost to Tulane 41-24 in the 2018 Cure Bowl and then defeated Miami of Ohio 27-14 in last season’s LendingTree Bowl.
UL and UTSA will be meeting for the first time on the gridiron when they square off in Dallas at Gerald Ford Stadium on the campus of Southern Methodist University.
UL was slated to play in their third-straight Sun Belt Conference Championship Game on Saturday, against No. 9 Coastal Carolina, but the game was canceled due to COVID-19 issues within the Chanticleers program.
As a result of the cancellation, the Ragin’ Cajuns were declared co-champions.
