A few weeks before the start of LSU’s 2020 season, the Tigers could be without one of their top players in Ja’Marr Chase according to Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports.
Chase would be entering his junior season coming off one of the best years of his collegiate career and is considered to be a top ten first round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. According to the report by Dodd, he is choosing to opt out of the 2020 college football season to concentrate on his professional career.
The unanimous First Team All-America selection set SEC records last season for touchdown catches (20) and receiving yards (1,780) on the way to winning the Biletnikoff Award in 2019.
