The New Orleans Pelicans will be staying at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort when the NBA resumes play in July, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Orlando, Florida is the destination for 22 teams when the NBA returns and Charania provided the three different hotels that will host each team.
New Orleans will be staying in the same hotel of the team outside of the playoffs. Portland, Sacramento, San Antonio, Phoenix, Washington and New Orleans are each competing for a spot in the postseason.
Here is the description of the resort from the official website:
“Delight in the formal grace of a grand New England-style yacht club at this lakeside hotel. Relax in the inviting elegance of a plush lobby replete with nautical touches, explore the whimsical Stormalong Bay and rent a variety of watercraft from Bayside Marina. Sharing many amenities with its pastel-toned sister, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is walking distance to Epcot and a convenient boat ride to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.”
There were also reports on the league’s return-to-play protocols that includes teams playing scrimmages against other teams that are staying in the same hotel from July 22-29.
The Pelicans will have three scrimmages in that week before the games for playoff seeding begin between the Trailblazers, Kings, Spurs, Suns or Wizards.
