The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns head coach will be staying with the program, but one assistant coach will be leaving.
According to Ross Dellenger of SINow, Ragin’ Cajuns inside linebackers coach Austin Armstrong will be Southern Miss’ new defensive coordinator.
Will Hall was the former offensive coordinator for the Ragin’ Cajuns and Tulane. Hall was recently named Southern Miss’ new head coach.
Armstrong was on Georgia’s staff in 2019 before joining Napier and the Ragin’ Cajuns. He was also a defensive graduate assistant coach with Louisiana in the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
Armstrong will coach through the Sun Belt Conference Championship game. The No. 17 Ragin’ Cajuns are scheduled to take on No. 11 Coastal Carolina on Dec. 19 at 11 a.m.
