Will Wade has added another player courtesy of the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Saint Louis University guard Sincere Parker committed to play for Wade and the McNeese Cowboys on Monday morning. The 6-foot-3 junior guard averaged 16 points per game despite playing in only 20 minutes per game due to injuries.
Parker also shot 42.6 percent from three-point range for the Billikens who play in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
During the 2022-23 season, Parker appeared in 33 games and averaged 5.9 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. He also made 23 three-pointers.
Parker began his career at Moberly Area Community College in Missouri where he averaged 15.9 points and 4.3 rebounds per game during the 2021-22 season. He earned NJCAA All-American First Team honors that season.
Wade returns several key pieces from last year’s historic 30-win team that earned a berth in the NCAA Men’s Tournament, including Christian Schumate, Javohn Garcia, DJ Richards Jr., and Mike Saunders Jr.
Parker is the second player Wade has added to the NCAA Transfer Portal this offseason. The first was former Carencro High and Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun Joe Charles, who averaged 11.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game last season.
