New Orleans Saints defensive lineman Cameron Jordan will be a Hall of Famer.
Jordan was selected as one of five inductees to the 2021 Senior Bowl Hall of Fame. The announcement was made on Thursday.
The other inductees include former NFL players Patrick Surtain, Reggie Wayne, Joe Staley and Fred Taylor.
Jordan released the following statement about the announcement:
“Getting the invite to the Senior Bowl was checking off the list of being acknowledged as one of the nation’s best. When I got the Senior Bowl it allowed me to prove myself and eliminate any self-doubt versus the nation’s best players. Playing in the Senior Bowl reinforced what I should’ve already known — that I was fully prepared to go to the NFL.”
New Orleans selected Jordan with the 24th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He has been named to six Pro Bowls in his 10 seasons in the league.
The ceremony will be held in Point Clear, Alabama on June 23.
