The New Orleans Saints have made another addition to their defensive back room by signing former Titans and Texans cornerback Lonnie Johnson Jr.

Johnson has signed a one-year deal with the Black and Gold as first announced by Jordan Schultz via Twitter. The financial compensation has yet to be announced.

FA DB Lonnie Johnson Jr. is signing a one-year deal with the #Saints, sources tell @theScore.

In seven starts for the #Texans in 2021, Johnson had 3 INTs and 6 PBUs. The versatile CB/Safety is a former 2nd-round pick, who I’m told had three different suitors in free agency. pic.twitter.com/gdmrKu0CqY

The former Texan and Titan has intercepted three passes in his career, all in 2021 when he was in Houston, and has 183 total tackles in his four years in the NFL.
