The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns (26-14-1, 12-4-1 Sun Belt) are really starting to catch fire at the right time. Despite being down for most of the game on Sunday, they were still able to take down the Little Rock Trojans (14-26, 6-12 Sun Belt) thanks to some timely hitting to complete the sweep by the score of 5-3.
Riley Pittman got the Trojans on the board early with an RBI single to right field in the first. It would remain that way until the seventh when Hunter Kasuls scored off a throwing error by Zach Baker on a hit from Brad Antchak to tie things up.
Little Rock got the lead back in the bottom frame with two runs capped off by an RBI single from Cameron Knight to give the Trojans some cushion.
Alex Pinero tied things back up in the eighth when he hit a single to left center field to send Steven Sensley and Kennon Fontenot across.
Steven Sensley came back up to bat in the 9th with one out and with an 0-1 count he sent one sailing over the right field wall for what would become the game winner.
Dylan Moore improved to 1-1 on the season with one and two-thirds innings of work.
The Cajuns will now head to Sugarland, Texas on Tuesday to take on the Texas Longhorns (27-15) with first pitch set for 6:30 pm.
