The Sun Belt has released the 2022-2023 schedule for basketball, and the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns have a strong 18-game slate.
The Cajuns reached the SBC Championship game a year ago in Pensacola and will look to continue their success in the league when conference play begins on Thursday, December 29 when Louisiana travels to Conway, South Carolina to take on Coastal Carolina.
Louisiana’s schedule features home-and-home matchups with Southern Miss as well as Troy, ULM, Arkansas State, Texas State, and South Alabama. The Cajuns will play one Friday home game against defending champ Georgia State and then three Saturday home games.
Louisiana is also slated to play all four new conference members with a visit to Norfolk, Va. to face Old Dominion on New Year’s Eve, followed by the away trip to Hattiesburg to play USM for the 45th all-time meeting between the Cajuns and Golden Eagles.
Bob Marlin’s squad will then host Marshall on February 4 and James Madison on February 18 to wrap up the games with the new schools.
The non-conference slate as well as TV info will be released at a later point.
