5. Throwdown
Tony Robichaux was speaking about Alex Pinero’s compete level and how he doesn’t care about how he looks as long as he has that “throwdown,” and it got me to thinking….I’d rather slow a Mustang down than kick a donkey in the rear end everyday.
4. Dem Boys
A lot of people think that the Busch brothers, Kyle and Kurt, are “Dem Boys” of NASCAR these days. They are feisty, they win, and they got hot wives. They are dominating the early season headlines so far with Kurt’s big Daytona win and with Kyle’s brawl with Joey Logano at Sunday’s Kobalt 400. The only thing is, Kurt’s Daytona win won’t mean diddly poo at the end of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season and Kyle got his ass kicked by Logano and he finished 22nd in the Kobalt 400. The Busch’s may be this generation’s “Dem Boys,” but the Labontes could kick their asses any day of the week.
3. The World Baseball Classic
Dancing chicas in tight jeans in the stands, clutch throws to the plate, a litany of all stars; the WBC had it all during the Group Stage! Jose Bautista’s throw home to save the Domincan Republic their game against Colombia was the highlight of a weekend filled with the type of baseball you need to usually wait until October for. As the knockout rounds begin, the national pride strengthens and the MLB teams with high dollar players in the tournament get more and more nervous. What an event!
2. Bomaye Knee
Edson Barboza is now the most beautiful fighter to watch. Sure he is classically handsome in a Brazilian sense, but I mean beautiful in how he fights. Barboza fights the way Cristiano Ronaldo plays soccer. His knockout of Beneil Dariush was proof that Edson “Junior” Barboza is MMA’s “Beautiful Man.”

All things should be decided with brackets. Presidential races, naming a child, deciding where to eat on a Friday night; the only way to settle things is with seeded brackets. Brackets are what make the NCAA Tournament the best of all the playoffs. People love to highlight and cross things out. People love lists. People love definitive winners. These are all things you can get if you make your decisions within the brackets.
