5. CP3
Chris Paul and the Clippers were bounced out of the playoffs again. They lost game 7 to the Utah Jazz. But before that, they did have a nice win in Utah to push it to a game 7 in the first place. And while they are about as likable as a skin rash, I did enjoy that Clipper win because of what CP3 told aging veteran teammate Paul Pierce on the bench during the game. “You’re not ending your career in Utah.” That is a great teammate because not even Karl Malone wanted to end his career in Utah.

4. Dallas Keuchel
He had 5 wins in April. Five! After another brilliant 7+ inning outing, Dallas Keuchel gave up one run to the A’s and struck out a season high nine batters. His ERA is barely over 1 right now and his beard is looking even stronger than nit did during his Cy Young season. No Astro has more pressure on him to play well than Keuchel and he is delivering admirably. It is only April, but if I am an Astros fan, I’d be making plans for October.
ICYMI: Dallas Keuchel is straight filth this season🔥. 5-0 with a 1.21 ERA 0.81 WHIP and 36K's. pic.twitter.com/Lq6YxjT8au

3. Saints Secondary
Badass Kenny Vaccaro, all heart Delvin Breaux, a guy not even close to reaching his potential yet in Vonn Bell, a potential full year with PJ Williams, and rookies Marcus Williams and Marshon Lattimore; this secondary is deep and athletic but can they overcome the injury curse that riddles this unit almost as bad as it does the Pelicans?

2. Saints Running Backs
Mark Ingram now has tag team partners in rookie Alvin Kamara from Tennessee and the legendary Adrian Peterson, making the Saints backfield one of the most dangerous and versatile backfields in all of football. If you think a commitment to the run means more years on Drew Brees’ career then YER DARN TOOTIN’! Building a backfield like this will go a long way in not only winning gamees but allowing Drew Brees to play into his 40s.

1. James Conner
The best story in football got even better when The Terminator was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Playing in the town where he defeated cancer will make Conner a very rich man when his jerseys start flying off the shelves AND it will also mean he will get a lot of playing time whenever Lev Bell gets suspended for smoking weed or injures himself if another big game.
