Louisiana is a fun state. This is undeniable. Louisiana has Mardi Gras, boudin, alligators, French-speaking people, Cajun and Zydeco music and plus, to top it off, it feels like summer most of the time. Now, there is research to confirm that Louisiana is more fun than most places.
Wallethub just released it’s annual report on the Most Fun States in America. Louisiana lands at the number 10 spot. Now everyone’s definition of fun may differ slightly. So the Wallethub researchers used two factors to determine the “fun” value in each state. This study looked at “entertainment” and “recreation” options. Researchers analyzed each state, comparing costs of activities, and the variety of different options. Then each state was given a score.
The state with the highest score in “fun” was California. With the number of attractions, variety of arts, entertainment and recreation, and then factoring in weather and nightlife, California scored the highest.
