
The LSU Tigers had three relief pitchers named to the 2025 Top 100 Relievers list published by D1Baseball.com.
Gavin Guidry, William Schmidt, and Casan Evans all earned the recognition from one of the top college baseball media outlets.
Guidry is a junior right-hander that came in at Number 10 on the list. He is a Preseason All-American and also All-SEC selection. Last season, he had a 2.59 ERA with 36 strikeouts.
Schmidt is a freshman that prepped at Catholic-Baton Rouge and comes in at Number 13 on the list. He was a top 20 prospect in the 2024 MLB Draft by MLB.com. Despite being so highly touted, he decided to stay in Baton Rouge to play college ball with LSU.
Evans is a fellow freshman that comes from St. Pius X in Houston, Texas. He enters at Number 91 on the list and joins Schmidt as two of just four true freshman to be recognized. He was a top 100 MLB Draft prospect but also chose to pass up pro ball for now to play for the Tigers.
