Angel Reese and the Tigers put up their unbeaten streak against Auburn inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Reese had her 18th double-double of the season en route to a 30-point victory, 84-54.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
LSU opened the game with a 14-9 advantage at the 3:00 mark of the first quarter. LaDazhia Williams led all scorers with 6 for the Bayou Bengals.
The Tigers slipped away from Auburn slightly after the first quarter with a 23-14 lead at the break. LSU shot 56% from the field in the first quarter.
For the first half of the second quarter, LSU went on an 8-3 run to make it 31-17 with 4:39 left in the first half. Angel Reese had nine points and five rebounds in the first half to this point.
For the final stretch of the half, LSU went on a 10-5 run to take a 41-22 lead into the locker room at the half. Reese continued to lead all scorers with 13 points on 4-7 shooting. Sania Wells led Auburn with seven.
Alexis Morris and Jasmine Carson joined the double-digit party to open the third quarter. LSU outscored Auburn 12-4 in the opening four minutes of the quarter to hold a 53-26 lead.
Over the final five minutes of the quarter, Auburn went on a 14-4 run to trim the lead down to 60-42. Reese led all scorers with 18.
At the final media timeout of the game, LSU held a 70-48 lead inside the PMAC. Over the final five minutes, LSU went on a 14-6 run to win 84-54 for their 18th straight victory.

Kim Mulkey’s squad hit six of their sixteen three-pointers in the game, which was a big factor in their win.

Reese had a monster game once again, leading all scorers with 23 points and 15 rebounds.
