University of Louisiana baseball coach Tony Robichaux will be inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in January 2021.
The national organization announced the induction of the longtime Ragin’ Cajuns coach on Tuesday morning.
Robichaux coached UL for 25 seasons and 33 seasons overall in Division I. Robichaux’s career record was 1,177-767-2. He was the 51st coach in Division I history to earn 1,000 career wins after a 2015 road win over Alabama.
Louisiana appeared in 12 NCAA Regionals under Robichaux. The team also appeared in four NCAA Super Regionals and the 2000 College World Series.
During his career, Robichaux earned the organization’s ABCA South Central Region Coach of the Year four times. He was also named All-Louisiana Coach of the Year six times and was a four-time Sun Belt Coach of the Year.
