McNeese landed three players on the football All-Southland Conference teams, the league announced on Wednesday.
Micah Davey, the standout linebacker and son of former NFL quarterback Rohan Davey, was named to the first team. Davey racked up 153 tackles which led all of the FCS. He set a McNeese record with 15.3 tackles per game and his total was good for the sixth-highest in a single season in McNeese history.
Earning second-team honors were wide receiver Jon McCall and lineman Cole Leclair.
McCall led the Cowboys with 504 receiving yards. he also scored five touchdowns on 32 total receptions. He was top eight in all three categories in the Southland overall.
Leclair started all ten games and was a fixture of the Cowboys’ offensive line. He missed only two plays in the entire season and graded out as the top lineman on the team.
