The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns 2019 season has been filled with ups and downs, but there are some serious positives to it with three players being named to the All-Sun Belt teams.
Hayden Cantrelle and Todd Lott were both named to the first-team while Orynn Veillon secured second-team All-Sun Belt on Monday.
Cantrelle has been one of the most consistent hitters for Louisiana, leading the team with 27 stolen bases and 52 runs scored. One of the big highlights for the former Teurlings Rebel was his 14-game hitting streak and hitting for the cycle against Northwestern State.
Lott has been one of the hottest hitters on the team all season, leading the way with a .340 batting average and 44 RBIs. The junior really started to catch fire throughout conference play, leading the team in hits (45), RBI (36) and home runs (7).
Meanwhile, Veillon’s bat has been on fire down the stretch, helping him to a team-leading, 19-game hitting streak. The former St. Thomas More Cougar leads the team with four triples and places second on the team with 11 home runs.
