#TriplePlay: Cajuns vs Arkansas State

Posted by clintdomingue on April 4, 2016 in Latest News

#TriplePlay Ragin Cajuns

Welcome everyone to another edition of #TriplePlay!

Turn One: Welcome Back Mr. Clement

After being out for a while due to injury, Kyle Clement returned to the regular lineup this weekend against Arkansas State. And he did not disappoint, going 4-12 in the series and had 4 RBIs on Sunday. The Cajuns were missing a player who had been consistent early on in the year and it seems like he is picking up right where he left off.

Turn Two: Three Very Different Games

This weekend series between the Ragin Cajuns and Arkansas State had three games that were equally different. In game one, both teams were making contact and the Cajuns tried to get a late rally going. In game two, it was pretty even-steven with the Cajuns coming out on top with a pair of home runs by Kennon Fontenot and Brad Antchak. Game three was a low hitting affair, but was high scoring because of some good old small ball by the Cajuns. The series was a very interesting look at the Cajuns at this point of the season.

Turn Three: Cajuns Continue to Roll In Conference Play

Four series into Sun Belt conference play, the Cajuns have won three of those series. And only losing one series all year long is a good sign for this team moving forward as the road to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament only gets tougher. The pitching still needs some improvement but overall this team looks okay.
