The University of Louisiana and head football coach Billy Napier have agreed to a contract extension through 2025.
The announcement was made on Thursday morning.
UL Athletics Director Bryan Maggard said the program is excited about the contract extension.
“We are very excited to announce this extension for Coach Napier,” Maggard said. “He has led our football program to new heights, and we look forward to continued success under his leadership.”
Napier’s contract had been extended for one year in October.
The second-year Ragin’ Cajuns football coach has led UL to a program record 10 wins this season. Napier also led the program to two consecutive Sun Belt Conference Championship games in his first two seasons.
Napier was named Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year after finishing the 2019 regular season 10-2.
UL will play in the LendingTree Bowl against Miami of Ohio on Jan. 6.
