The University of Louisiana men’s basketball team has added a new commit for the 2020-21 season.

Brooklyn native and 6’10” power forward/center Isaiah Richards announced that he has committed to the Ragin’ Cajuns.

I am honored and blessed to announce that I have committed to @ragincajunsmbb program. Thank you Coach @bobbymarlin and staff for believing in me also @The_NickC & @TheAcademy_MBB for giving me the opportunity to showcase my talent I can’t wait to move down south! #GeauxCajuns⚜️ pic.twitter.com/ChvUfFBJmS

Richards averaged 12.5 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game last year at Springfield Commonwealth Academy.

It was reported that VCU, UTEP and Nevada offered Richards, but he has decided to join head basketball coach Bob Marlin at UL.

Richards will be eligible for the upcoming 2020-21 season.
