23 years ago today, our country experienced the deadliest terror attack in human history as commercial flights were hijacked and crashed into the World Trade Center and Pentagon, killing 2,996 people.

The country was devastated as a war against terror began and lasted for many years when thousands of military men and women lost their lives protecting our freedom.

Even through tragedy, our country has shown year after year its resilience and strength in the wake of terrorism and hate.

While a new World Trade Center is being constructed in New York City, we will never forget the attacks of that fateful day, the people who lost their lives, and the families that were left to mourn.

We Will Never Forget.
