On Tuesday, the New Orleans Pelicans picked up a 127-120 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. The victory snaps the Clippers’ three-game winning streak.
Zion Williamson registered 22 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds for the Pelicans, with most of his production coming during the fourth quarter. CJ McCollum and Trey Murphy III contributed a combined 44 points.
Kawhi Leonard scored a game-high 29 points with eight rebounds for the Clippers. James Harden totaled 25 points and 17 assists. Coach Tyronn Lue was absent due to back pain.
New Orleans held a ten-point lead heading into halftime, which can be attributed to the Clippers missing 13 of their first 14 three-point shot attempts. While Los Angeles was competitive in the latter half of the game, they could not outmatch New Orleans’ Williamson-led efforts.
New Orleans now holds an 18-48 season record. They are 5-5 in their last 10 games.
