Gary Woodland will bring a one shot lead to the final day of the Texas Children’s Houston Open, being played at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas on the PGA Tour.

Woodland began the day with a three-shot lead over the field, looking to stay out in front. However, there were some early charging players that tried to get into the mix.

The biggest was Nicolai Hojgaard, who made bogey alongside Woodland on the first hole. However, he would make four birdies the rest of the front nine.

The rest of the lead pack, with players like defending champion Min Woo Lee, had decent rounds but never gained enough traction to put pressure on Woodland and Hojgaard. Lee would finish the day at -12 overall.

Hojgaard made multiple birdies on the back nine to continue putting the pressure on Woodland, who also had a birdie stretch on the back to maintain the lead. By the time the third round was finished, Woodland led but by just one, with a score of -18 to Hojgaard’s -17.

Woodland will attempt to secure his first win on Tour since the 2019 US Open, his most notable in a solid career. He recently opened up about the PTSD he deals with following brain surgery.

The final round will take place tomorrow at Memorial Park Golf Course.
