You Could Be Living In The Best City In The State

Posted by dylanguillory on April 10, 2019 in Blogs, Featured

It is no secret of how rich Acadiana is when it comes to the quality of life. There are many facts that could serve as a ‘turn off’ for Louisiana such as the second highest auto insurance rates behind Michigan. But if you dig deeper and search for the best city to live in the state, where would that be?

DMC

The Insider recently published the ultimate list of the best cities to live in every state and the top spot for Louisiana should not come as a surprise.

Lafayette was ranked as the best city to live in Louisiana. Really? Come on we already knew this!

The Insider had this to say about Lafayette-

Lafayette is known for its rich history, delicious cuisine, lively music, and frequent festivals. Residents particularly love the city’s fun atmosphere, diverse culture, and friendly people

Geez, I think I’m blushing, and yet, they are spot on. Visitors love how friendly we are. People come from across the globe to sample our Cajun cuisine which is now being shipped worldwide.  And then we have those special places that have been dishing up local favorites like Chris’s Poboys and Keller’s Bakery. You know we have too many to list of the special places to grab delicious food.

And what is not to love with our never-ending festivals and fairs. And then come Friday, the PARTY IS ON! With the live entertainment on Jefferson Street and Downtown Alive.

Then you have all the fresh seafood you would ever want from the Gulf of Mexico.

Lafayette is a popular place. Our joy for life and non-stop entertainment it not surprising we made the top of the list for Louisiana.

If we can only do something about this traffic, we’d be set!
